Divital wasn't born in a boardroom. It started with a question asked in the hallway of a long-term care facility in Montreal:
“Why are we still doing this on paper?”
The nurses we met were brilliant, experienced, and completely overwhelmed by the administrative burden of manual vitals tracking. Critical changes were sometimes caught late — not because of neglect, but because the tools weren't good enough.
We decided to change that. Not with a generic platform adapted for health, but with a system built specifically for long-term care in Canada.
The Problem
Our founders spent years in long-term care facilities watching nurses manage critical data on spreadsheets and paper forms. They knew there was a better way.
The First Code
We developed the first real-time vital signs dashboard. Three pilot facilities in Montreal agreed to test it. Zero nurses quit out of frustration — a good sign.
Bill 25
Quebec's new privacy law went into effect. We had built it into our architecture from day one — our clients had nothing to worry about. It became our biggest competitive advantage.
Growth
Expanded to over 40 facilities in Quebec and Ontario. Launched AI anomaly detection and population analytics. Raised seed funding to grow the team.
Today
Monitoring over 3,000 patients every day. Building the next generation of clinical intelligence tools — still obsessed with the same problem we started with.
